Upgrade Aftercare

Changes after the upgrade

You have finished your Gooby upgrade and Omni is now running. Congratulations! Still, there are some important things you need to know… and do.

Update your Media locations

Beware that some of your media locations have changed. Because Rclone is dockerized now, we had to create a different mount structure.

Whereas this will not impact Plex, Emby and Jellyfin, all your downloaders (Torrent/Usenet apps) and catalogue apps (Radarr, Sonarr, etc) will need to be updated. In most cases this can be done in minutes, but it can’t be skipped. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience - be assured that this is a one time action only!

Plex, Emby and Jellyfin

Luckily. nothing at all changed for your streamer apps. Your media should still be in /Media from the standpoint of Plex et al. We didn’t feel like spending several hours or even days rescanning our libraries either! 😊

Torrent and Usenet applications

For any of your download applications (Deluge, NZBget, SABnzbd), make sure that you set the download location to /cloud/Downloads/… (then add your own personal preferences, or use the app defaults).

You should ONLY change the part highlighted in yellow, the rest you can keep the exact same way you already had. Repeat this for any other torrent/usenet app that you have installed.

Radarr, Sonarr, etc

Similarly, the root folder in Radarr, Sonarr and any other catalogue app has changed. More than likely your applications give an error about a missing root folder.

To correct this, in (for example) Radarr, click Movies and then Movie Editor in the menu bar, then Select All.

At the bottom of your screen, click underneath “Root Folder”. Then click “Add a new path”. In the file browser, select cloud, then the folder where your media is located and finally the movie folder that you want to switch over to the new location.

Click OK when your movie list is displayed correctly.

Don't move that media!

At the last step, make sure you pick No, I’ll move the files myself, so that Radarr etc won’t check all movies/tv shows against the settings you picked in the Media Management settings and update the folder/file names - that could take a long time!

Repeat the process for Sonarr, Lidarr and any other catalogue app you may use.

Where’s rclean?

Coming from Gooby, that is probably the command you used the most often. In Omni, this has been replaced by: omni update

This can also be found in the omni menu - option 1, then choose "omni update".
